Following the success of our previous course for Borough of Poole employees, our next course at the Civic Centre will be starting in May.
- Seven free lunch time sessions in the Council Chamber, 1st floor Civic Centre
- Fridays at 1 to 2pm, starting 15 May and ending 3 July (no session on 29 May)
- Written by qualified Life Coach and former Medical Doctor Andy Parnham

Our next work:space PLUS retreat day will be from 9.30am-1.30pm on Saturday 28th March at the Holton Lee Estate near Wareham. This is an opportunity for those people working in Poole to have some space and time out from the busyness of work and life in a beautiful and supportive environment. The programme includes a mix of led sessions and space for you to explore the estate or use the resources available for personal reflection. We are delighted to have Brother Sam from Hilfield Friary to share his insights with an application to work and life.

Work:space and Chaplaincy Wessex are pleased to be hosting a new course for employees in Poole called God@work. The course will explore issues of faith which connect with today’s workplace e.g. Why does work matter? What gives work purpose and meaning? How do ambition and doing work the right way fit together? The course content is from management theorists and from the Christian tradition and is open to everyone of all faiths and none.
People who attended this course said “New ideas and different ways of looking at situations. I will never think of work the same way again.”
Written and led by James Bright, this free series for staff will be held at Livingstone Hall, Parkstone United Reformed Church, Commercial Road, Poole BH14 0JW, just a few minutes walk from the Civic Centre. Sessions are 1pm-2pm on 13/5/14, 20/5/14, 3/6/14 and 10/6/14 with a series review on 17/6/14. Bring lunch. Refreshments and biscuits provided. Come and go as you need to.
